There is a Family/Guest Orientation Program that runs concurrent with the student program. Parents and family members who wish to sign up will be able to do so very soon.
The current orientation program is designed for adult participation and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. All fees apply to children.
If you will be residing on campus starting in the Fall, you will be able to move into your housing assignment on Tuesday, August 19th.
University College Academic Advisors will be creating schedules for all First Year students. You will receive an email through your Buffalo State Gmail account when your schedule is ready to be viewed in Banner.
At Buffalo State, all new students are required to attend orientation prior to the start of classes. If you cannot/did not attend the general Orientation session, you must attend a Make-Up Orientation Session.
To sign up for the Make-Up Session, email orientat@buffalostate from your Buffalo State email account with your name, Banner number, and state you are requesting to attend the Make-Up Session on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
The Orientation program provides programs, events, and information that create a common experience and promote school spirit by connecting students to each other and fostering student learning and development both in and out of the classroom.

■ Take care of any Weigel Health Center holds (for immunizations or health insurance)
■ Send in your final official high school and/or college transcripts to the Admissions Office
■ Refer to the First Year Checklist on the Admissions website for items to complete prior to your arrival at Buffalo State
There is a mandatory orientation charge of $190 for First Year students. This fee cannot be waived. Please make your payment directly to the Office of Orientation and New Student Programs. Acceptable forms of payment include check, money order or credit/debit card
The cost for the Family/Guest Orientation program is based on a per person rate.
Please note that the orientation cost affiliated with each program is used to cover the cost of the Buffalo State orientation program. This includes the use of facilities, student publications, materials, food and staffing.
