The Orientation, Transition, and Family Programs Office at Buffalo State University is committed to fostering seamless transitions into the campus community by providing comprehensive, inclusive, and engaging programs for new students and their families. Our office oversees programming related to the orientation and transition of first-year and transfer students along with parents and family members including New Student Orientation, Parent and Family Member Orientation, Parent and Family Programs, and Camp 1871.

Welcome to Buffalo State University, to New Student Orientation, and to the ever-growing Bengal family! We are so excited to have you here and that you decided to pursue your higher education at Buffalo State University. The upcoming years of your life will be filled with life-changing memories, tough challenges, and amazing personal growth which will give you the skills and experience to excel both in and out of the classroom. During New Student Orientation, you will have the opportunity to connect with current students, faculty, and staff, and learn about the amazing campus culture, community, academic programs, and student services that are offered at Buffalo State University.
