Parent and Family Member Orientation
Parent and Family Orientation is a vital step in supporting your Buffalo State student. The Orientation, Transition, and Family Programs Office at Buffalo State University offers a Parent and Family Orientation during all First-Year Student and Transfer Student Orientations. The program runs concurrent with the student program but is a separate program to meet the specific needs of parents and family members. Parent/Family members will not be staying on campus and are responsible for their own accommodations.
Should you have any questions regarding the parent/family member programs, your student's orientation, or need guidance, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist. Please feel free to contact us via email at orientation@buffalostate.edu.
The cost of the family member orientation is $100 per guest. This covers the overall cost of family member programs, staff, meals, and supplies. Payment instructions can be found in your students online application.
Note: The Parent/Family Member Orientation is not intended for those under the age of 12.
